“HAPPY-ING”

Before all of my readers conclude that I am out of blog sphere, let me confirm that
I was doing a month long research for a war winning weapon to achieve happiness. And I think I got something to share.....…

Happiness is a too big idea to keep it within oneself. No one can be really happy if the environment around is not happy. So to win the war of achieving happiness I present my next idea.

The new idea is named “happy-ing”.

“happy-ing” is a collection of unique ways to create happiness around you.

I am citing few examples with probable implications. I think they can be adopted and modified accordingly ……..
(Please don’t laugh at them even though some of them may sound weird. Trust me sometime weird ideas are worth trying)

1. Do you know your milkman’s name? Or the guy who gives newspaper in morning?

Get up early. Wish them, and see the bright genuine smile on their face. It can make your day!!!! This is “happy-ing”

2. Many of us go for a walk in park or jog.(some though walk in dream like me:))
While jogging in a park to test “happy-ing”, I smiled at an elderly couple. The way they waved back …..suddenly I got some new friends.
Now I go for daily walk

3. There is a lady in my work place. In my entire tenure here I have not seen her smiling or chatting with anybody. People call her unhappy soul. Decidedly I greeted her in the morning. Her reply was cold. However I continued just for sake of “happy-ing” her (and it was really tough!!!).Then one day I had an issue in her department. To my surprise she helped in……
When I turned to thank, she patted me cordially ……WOW it worked!!!

After these incidents, now I wear a happy attitude and go “happy-ing” others.

So in short “happy-ing” is spreading the aura of happiness around ……

Don’t think much …just go “HAPPY-ING”

Gr8 thot...worth your absence i would say...since u came up with things one would normally not give a second thot to...Phew!!..some reflection there....It all starts from within and then just goes outwards...i feel happiness is a far nobler goal to achieve by giving it..rather than acheiveing it oneself...(if that made any sense:-p)...gr8!

Happying is wonderful..if it is genuine and comes from the heart. You cant fake happiness.
If you find the eternal spring of joy in your own heart, for sure it will always overflow and bless all around you with its magic touch.

It seemed like I waited forever for the post - but like life is good says - it was worth it!
I agree with your theory - we are all connected and glorious, so if we project our joy and happiness unto others, we are merely just living our true selves - I try to "happy" people every moment I can. Thanks for sharing!

"Happy-ing" .... should be made compulsory, all it can take to make some ones day is a smile :-D and a hello...thats all....
But do enough people do this???? NO they don't...so I am all for "Happy-ing"...
Great Post .... and I am sending you a big Smile... :-D

Check Check Check to all of the points
It makes a HUGE difference right??
I'm a very annoying person to know. Because I can't sit still when I see someone who can't smile. If my conversation fails to cheer them up I don't think twice about going over and physically trying to turn their frown into a smile :D

That's gotten awesome results (read smiles) though.. except in one case when I got spittle on my fingers instead.
EWCK!

I'd say that leaving nice comments on blogs is also happy-ing, virtually at least. Just joking! Lovely post, and I'll try to take up your tips and go happying about!

Great idea--and it is built on the very important premise that giving and receiving happiness are not unrelated.

Absolutely! This post is perfect. Get happy for yourself and then spread it.. whenever and wherever. If someone is an unhappy soul, then isn't it up to us to help them out? And what better than a smile...

It is the most cost effective way to spread the joy.. Excellent...

I dont know the name of the Milk guy ( but then I am never at home when he turns up) -However i do know the paperwala guy's name and even our building watch man who evantually hands over the paper :))

I am sure you must have heard that it takes few muscles to work up a smile then a frown....so may be for good health reason people can adopt this practice.....I am all for it

Very simple and sweet post ~

May you keep smiling :))

Dearest Sayani,

A simple yet brilliant concept! And so true. How many of us go about our days with shoulders hunched under the weight of our worlds; frowns and worries etched upon our faces?? I know I do often.

I like happy-ing. I like its simplicity. I like its huge pay-off. We all need the kindness of strangers. Could you imagine if all the soldiers fighting in the world, could lower their weapons and just smile at one another (a true, heart felt smile ??) Improbable ? yes. But what a peace filled moment it would be.

If only all our conflicts with others could be resolved with just a happy-ing ....

wonderful.

fondly,
Lady Blue

Whoa!Looks like you have devised a new mantra for the art of living..Good thought..How could one be truly happy without acknowledging the presence of others. After all smiles are free, there is nothing stopping us from giving them, rite.?
Happy "Happy-ing"..:-)..
